We Build Recruitment Golf Day
What a day we all had at the We Build Recruitment Golf Day. A day full of sun, beer laughter and, of course, golf! We Build Recruitment’s team members, clients, and partners gathered at the wonderful Rossendale Golf Course for our annual golf tournament. The event was a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a day on the greens while strengthening relationships and friendly rivalries.
The day kicked off with a warm welcome from Mike McNeill at the briefing, where he thanked everyone for their participation and shared a few opening remarks. After a brief stretch and some last-minute practice swings, the 15 teams teed off.
Winners of the Day
As the golfers navigated the Rossendales 18-hole course, they were treated to beautiful views of the surrounding areas. The competition was fierce, but the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship remained strong throughout the day.
After a great round of golf, everyone gathered at the clubhouse to unwind, share stories from the course, and enjoy some well-deserved drinks and food. After we had enjoyed our food and drinks for some time, Mike McNeill took to stage to announce the winners of the day:
The day was won by Team CEB who posted a total of 90 points, closely followed in second place by Team SEI with a score of 89 points. The longest drive was won by Dan Nash of NASH (UK) Ltd who walloped the ball a massive 321 yards, an impressive feat.
Beyond the friendly competition, the golf tournament provided an excellent opportunity for our team to reconnect, build stronger bonds, and celebrate our shared passion for We Build Recruitment’s mission and values.

Mike: “I was over the moon to host our first We Build Golf Day and what a success it was. For us to have over 40 clients present was a wonderful sight. The weather was excellent, and the golf was just as good! It was great to share a few beers with everyone after and also introduce our clients to each other which in turn has generated a number of tender opportunities. Congratulations to all our winners of the day!
A special shout must go to Damian O’Brien of Fitness Water for providing every golfer with a branded bottle of Alkaline Water making sure everyone was hydrated throughout the day.
The golf day will be an annual event for Team We Build moving forward and we are already looking forward to next year.”
Rick: “Friday was extremely enjoyable from a participation point of view, but even more so for putting on an event that our clients can attend. This was the first time we had run the We Build Golf Day after much discussion about getting a day out organised. It was well-attended, and it’s nice to give something back to our clients as a thank-you for their continual loyalty in choosing us as their labour provider
Speaking with some of my clients on the day it was clear that they had enjoyed themselves and appreciated the gesture of being invited. I pride myself on making introductions between clients and the clubhouse bar following the round was an ideal informal environment for this to take place over a few beers and some food.
I suppose I should probably give a nod to the Great British weather which, for once, decided to behave itself until after we had finished. Look forward to planning and delivering the next We Build Golf Day and thanks again to all our clients.”
